At the table
Let the hot glaze cool. Slide pieces off the skewer and take small bites.

Story & history
A Chengdu sweet on a stick
This account describes a tradition or story, rather than an established historical fact.
Tangyou guozi is a Chengdu rice snack, also nicknamed 天鹅蛋, or swan eggs, for its shape. The name does not mean it contains eggs. Brown sugar and sesame coat the fried balls, which differ from flat Changsha tangyou baba.
